SketchUp Essentials - (Ref SK1)
Recommended for new users of both SketchUp, as well as those with minimal CAD experience.
For one day, you will concentrate on the SketchUp interface, organising concepts and core skills, such as 3D object creation and editing, snap constraints, dimensions, text and graphic attributes.
Prerequisite: Participants must be competent in using Macintosh or Windows computers and familiar with basic hand drawn drafting techniques.
SketchUp Further Studies - (Ref SK2)
Recommended for users who are familiar with the basic operation of SketchUp.
For one day you will look at some of the more advanced modelling techniques within SketchUp, creating site models and laying out documents.
Prerequisite: SketchUp Essentials - Day 1 or previous SketchUp experience.
Energy Analysis and Sustainability in SketchUp - (SK4) (Half Day) (NEW)
Early stage Energy Analysis and Sustainability is an increasingly hot topic for architects. In response to requests from users, this brand new course has been designed to show you how to use SketchUp for early stage energy analysis and sustainability considerations. We show you the options available for energy analysis, how to create a model appropriate for energy analysis, how Google Earth fits into the process and how to carry out the energy analysis.
Prerequisite: SketchUp Essentials Day 1 or previous SketchUp experience.
Photomodelling and Site Modelling in SketchUp - (SK5) (Half Day) (NEW)
Join us for our advanced Photomodelling and Site Modelling course. Using the PhotoMatch feature, you will learn how to create accurate models from photographs which is extremely useful for projects and presentations involving existing buildings and environments. You will also find out how easy it is to apply the actual textures from your photograph to the model.
In addition, discover how the Sandbox feature set allows you to create accurate Site Models from survey information or Ordinance Survey data, allowing you to set your architecture in context.
Prerequisite: SketchUp Essentials Day 1 or previous SketchUp experience.
Energy Analysis and Sustainability in SketchUp + Photomodelling and Site Modelling in SketchUp Combined (SK3) (Full Day) (NEW)
Prerequisite: SketchUp Essentials Day 1 or previous SketchUp experience.
