Tier A : 2 to 4 seats with 2.5% discount off normal SRP (2.5% on Upgrades)

Maintenance Available

QuarkAssurance is an optional addition to the Quark Volume Licensing Program.

Offering significant benefits over a 24-month period, QuarkAssurance is designed to protect your investment and includes:

  • Automatic upgrade protection to the latest version of QuarkXPress.
  • Use earlier versions - QuarkAssurance will allow you to install and run any previous version of QuarkXPress up to the maximum runcount of the license.

Maintenance Programme Rules

QuarkAssurance can be purchased in two ways:

  • at the same time as a license (or upgrade), priced at 75% of the upgrade standard SRP;
  • at a later date (up to 90 days after the purchase date of a new or upgrade license), priced at 85% of the upgrade standard SRP; and
  • Prices are based on 85% of the prevailing upgrade SRP and customers also benefit from tiered discount pricing.
 
Maintenance Renewal Rules QuarkAssurance is a 24-month program. Coverage begins when your order is fulfilled by Quark and expires 24-months later on the last day of the month of purchase. For example, if your QuarkAssurance order is fulfilled by Quark on September 15, 2006, coverage will start on September 15, 2006 and will expire on September 30, 2008.
 
Cross Platform Upgrade Rules Yes.  Customer needs to provide the serial number and registration details on their purchase order.

Lost CDs Customer should contact Quark Customer Services (0800 1787 8275 or eurocservice@quark.com) with a validation code/serial number – there is a nominal fee for replacement CDs.
 
Right to use other languages
 
Allowed Yes.  QuarkXpress Passport supports 12 languages.
 
Rules Customer should buy QuarkXPress Passport (available under licensing) as it covers 12 languages.  The supplemental languages, Japanese & Chinese are also available should the customer require this.

Rules

Customers can downgrade in one of two ways:

  • By purchasing QuarkAssurance allowing them to use any previous version of QuarkXpress up to the maximum runcount of the license.
  • By applying for a concurrent licensing agreement directly with Quark allowing them to use previous versions concurrently with existing versions. This is approved on a case by case basis only.
 
Rules for Affiliate offices

FAQ's
 
Q. What happens when I wish to add a new user to my runcount?
A. Please provide your serial number when ordering additional licenses and this serial number will be increased to allow additional users to launch QuarkXPress. The only modification that you will need to make is within the QLA file to reflect the increased runcount.
 
Q. Is there a limit to the number of sites that Quark Licence Administrator can be run over?
A. No, there is no limit, as long as those sites have a WAN (Wide Area Network) connection, then they can run QLA over these sites.
 
Q. I wish to use v6.5 QuarkXpress licenses but only require installation for 3 machines, do I still need to purchase 5 licenses?
A. No, if you purchase the latest version of QuarkXpress licenses with the QuarkAssurance 24-month plan then you are entitled, alongside Quark License Administrator, to utilise previous versions as far back as version 5.
 
Q.

Once I receive an activation code, can I use it to install QuarkXPress on another computer?
A.

The activation code generated for one computer will not work on another computer.
